For students and researchers

Ask your whole syllabus a question.

Put readings, slides, lecture recordings and course pages in one library, then ask from Claude, ChatGPT or Doquery. Answers cite the passage they came from.

How it works

  1. Step 1

Bring in your courseBeta — this feature is still in development. It works, but expect rough edges and changes.

Connect Blackboard Learn where your school enables it, or upload PDFs and slides.

  2. Step 2

    Add the lectures

Upload recordings. Doquery transcribes them so what was said is searchable. Transcription is on Solo, Starter and Pro.

  3. Step 3

    Ask and cite

Ask for the argument, the definition or the quote, and get the passage with a link back to it.

Works in Claude and ChatGPT

Your Doquery library connects to the assistants you already use. Add it once, and Claude and ChatGPT search the same sources. There are no duplicate uploads and no separate file limits per chat.

Claude

  1. In Claude, open Customize → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
  2. Paste https://api.doquery.ai/mcp and sign in to Doquery when asked.
  3. Ask Claude anything. It searches your library and cites the passages it used.

Availability of custom connectors depends on your Claude plan. Anthropic's custom connectors guide

Using Claude Desktop with an API key? The Doquery extension (.mcpb) needs API access, which is on Pro only. Set it up from Integrations →

Connecting Claude or ChatGPT with a Doquery sign-in is included on Solo, Starter, Pro. Tool-call allowance scales with the plan. API-key setups (Claude Desktop extension, other MCP clients) need Pro. Beta — this feature is still in development. It works, but expect rough edges and changes.

Questions

Does Doquery write my essays?
No. It finds and cites what your sources say, so you can check the evidence and write it yourself.
Does my school need to approve Blackboard access?
Blackboard Learn asks your institution to allow the connection. If it doesn't, upload your course files directly. Everything else works the same.
